Addiction Rehab
I had written a battle plan for after my stay at the addiction rehab
facility. I promised to return to my former life with a fresh outlook,
clear body and sound mind. I was determined to find maintenance in my life
after the addiction rehab facility. I made a decision not to abuse my body
with illegal substances and dwell on the past before the addiction rehab
facility. I decided not to make an association with any negative influence
in my life, break any laws or adapt bad behavior. I raised my ethics and
continue to maintain integrity since the addiction rehab facility. I
learned to never suppress individuals by having a control over their
progress and help. In the moments I feel sick and oppressed, I will
address my dilemma immediately, as I confront the problem and try
something totally different, even if it means disconnecting from the
dilemma fully. I promise to analyze every situation and allocate what I
learned at the addiction rehab facility to consider any condition and
apply a formula of correction to alter the course. This procedure will be
applied to every dynamic, as I compose a list of daily activities since
recovery from the addiction rehab facility.
It’s been eight weeks since I completed detoxification at addiction rehab.
The program was definitely a life saver for me, as I have attempted other
fruitless methods to quit my addiction to drugs and alcohol. I even tried
jogging and lifting weights on my own, but the necessary supplemental and
nutritional support from addiction rehab was not there. I needed the
counselors and other clientele at addiction rehab to help me quit
drinking, smoking and abusing my body with unhealthy habits. Today, I no
longer have a craving for cigarettes, alcohol and drugs, as I am running
four miles a day and work out in the gym three times a week. Thanks to
addiction rehab, I now have a healthy high for exercises and routines to
improve my body, relationships with others, and lifestyle in general. The
accomplishments and changes I’m seeing in my life are almost surreal. I
now spend my mornings and evenings reading the Bible with my wife and
three children. Detoxification within my treatment at addiction rehab
wasn’t easy, but it was a real success. I feel that it’s vital for anyone
with an addiction to alcohol and drugs to know the benefits of addiction
rehab. The change in me is perpetual and I’m seeing a change for the
better each and every day. I even noticed that my cravings for high sugar
and high carbohydrate foods have diminished severely. The addiction rehab
facility I attended wasn’t high-profile, but I found my experience there
useful, memorable and fulfilling—it practically saved my life. I am
encouraging other friends and relatives to embark on a stimulating journey
to enter addiction rehab to achieve sobriety. Naturally, it’s always tough
to get started, but it’s a step that needs to be taken for anyone abusing
drugs or alcohol.
Today, I am a counselor at the addiction rehab facility where I was once a
client. I find it rewarding and helpful to my perpetual state of sobriety.
I still have several decades in my recovery to enjoy a productive life
thanks to addiction rehab. I feel that there is so much out there for me
to accomplish before retirement. I am an encouragement to recovering
addicts at the addiction rehab facility, the same way staff and clientele
were an encouragement during my rehabilitation. It’s amazing how the
benefits are actually multi-fold from sobriety and recovery. It is a
complete joy for me to live my life day to day as a man that no longer
desires liquor. I don’t have a taste for the alcohol I once craved—thanks
to addiction rehab. My daily intake of alcohol was once two times more
than that of the average social drinker. I got to the point during
addiction rehab that I couldn’t even imagine having dinner without at
least three beers to satisfy me. Today, I can go the supermarket and shop
without even looking down the aisles for beers and wine coolers. Just
yesterday, I was on line at the store on the hottest day of the summer
season and I heard another customer mention how he can’t go a day without
an ice cold beer to help him relax. I just don’t have that desire for a
quick buzz from alcohol anymore—not even an ice cold beer on a hot summer
day. Now, I quench my thirst with water, juice or iced tea. Addiction
rehab has been a great help for me to learn to sleep well and wake up in
the mornings without a hangover, high anxiety, and constant worries.
There were various people from different walks of our life on earth, but
we all had similar problems. My problems before the treatment addiction
rehab were serious and I thought I was beyond rehabilitation. The
individuals I met are not to be forgotten anytime soon, since they all
made a contribution to my new attitude and mindset. These attributes will
be a foundation for my perpetual recovery. Thus, my duration at the
treatment addiction rehab will always be one of my most enriching and
dynamic moments in my life, with plenty of memories and lessons to last my
lifetime. As I peruse old picture albums after the treatment addiction
rehab, I can barely recognize the former me before my stay at the
treatment addiction rehab. I may have had open eyes, but the lights were
certainly not on. Today, I embrace every day of my life with strength,
meaning and purpose. The temptation to return to the addictive life I
possessed before the treatment addiction rehab is still hibernating. I
make it a duty to treat the absence of substance abuse with care and
severe caution. I learned at the treatment addiction rehab that there was
a mighty power of the drug’s presence within me—whether it was active or
inactive.
